Modern Japandi House
Residential Design
The client wants a simple yet functional interior concept without having to spend a high budget. Based on this need, the Japandi concept was chosen as the most suitable solution, combining the simplicity typical of Japanese design with the warmth of Scandinavian style.
One of the main concerns is the client's request for the bed to not be too high. To address this, adjustments to the height of the bed have been made to ensure it remains comfortable to use, while also harmonizing with other furniture elements in the room.
The selection of neutral colors and simple yet high-quality materials is key to creating a calm, relaxed, and aesthetically pleasing atmosphere. With this design approach, the space feels more spacious, clean, and certainly capable of reflecting the minimalist lifestyle desired by the client.
Master bedroom
This master bedroom is designed with a modern Japandi approach that emphasizes the balance between function and aesthetics. The Japandi style is known for its characteristic minimalism of Japan, harmoniously blending with the warmth and softness of Scandinavian elements.
In this space, the selection of a neutral color palette like bone white, light gray, and natural wood accents serves as the main foundation for creating a calm and soothing atmosphere. The bed is designed with a low height to provide maximum comfort while giving a closer-to-the-floor feel, a hallmark of Japanese style.
The furniture used has a sleek design, clean lines, and without excessive details, while still paying attention to material quality and comfort. Soft textures on linen, lightweight curtains, and maximum natural lighting make the master bedroom feel spacious and inviting for rest.
Without needing much decoration, this space still feels warm, peaceful, and modern, reflecting the Japandi philosophy that beauty can be found in simplicity.
Small Corridor
Design elements such as soft lighting, plain walls without much decoration, and the use of natural materials like wood create a warm and calm impression when passing through this area. The minimal detail design creates a clean and orderly impression, in line with the philosophy of simple living that is the essence of Japandi.
Walk In Closet
The walk-in closet in this bedroom is designed with a modern Japandi approach that balances functionality, simplicity, and natural aesthetics. This storage area not only serves as a place to organize clothes and accessories but also becomes a calm and orderly transition space.
The selection of materials such as soft-textured natural wood, neutral colors like cream, bone white, and light gray, along with warm lighting, creates a clean and soothing impression. Shelves and drawers are designed with a minimalist design — without prominent handles, to create a seamless and organized appearance.
The application of hidden lighting or LED strip lights on the shelves provides a modern touch while making it easier to find items. A full-length mirror and functional details such as accessory holders or hidden drawers enhance the practical feel without sacrificing visual beauty.
